  • January: I guest lectured within the “Introduction to Cognitive Neuroscience” undergraduate course taught by Prof. Justin Gardner at Stanford University, together with my colleague Dr. William Turner. The lecture consisted of an introduction to EEG with a live-demo of visual evoked potentials

  • May: I gave a talk at the Friday seminar “FriSem” at the Department of Psychology, Stanford University
  • February 25th-27th: I took the course “Teaching workshop for postdocs” to learn about teaching strategies and work towards the Stanford Postdoc Teaching certificate
  • January: I gave a talk at the Knight Cognitive Neuroscience Research Lab at UC Berkeley
  • January: I gave a talk at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) within the CogHear seminar series, at Stanford University

2024

  • December: I gave a talk at my alma mater, the Experimental ORL lab at KU Leuven
  • December 9th: I gave a talk at the workshop “Exploring Temporal Response Functions (TRFs) in Real-World” in Delmenhorst, Germany.
  • October 24th: I organized a symposium and presented a poster at the Cognitive Computational Neuroscience conference in Brisbane in Australia. I was also the recipient of a Travel Award for this conference.
  • August: I presented a poster at the Cognitive Computational Neuroscience conference in Boston
  • June: I gave a talk at the Cognitive Neuroscience lab at the University of Luxembourg
  • June 1st: I gave a talk at the Psychologie und Gehirn (PuG) conference within the symposium ”Exploring the Layers of Language Prediction: From Phonemes to Paragraphs” in Hamburg, Germany
  • May: I presented a poster at the Stanford Data Science conference
  • May: I gave a talk at the EEG topics seminar at Stanford University

2023

  • October 24th: I presented a poster at the Society for the Neurobiology of Language meeting in Marseille
  • October 21st: I gave a talk and presented a poster at the Academy of Aphasia meeting in Reading, UK. I also received a travel award for this conference.
  • October 1st: I started my postdoc at Stanford University
  • June 23rd: I successfully defended my PhD thesis!
  • May 3rd: I presented a poster at the FENS Regional meeting in Albufeira, PT on “How cognitive impairment in individuals with aphasia affects test measures throughout the course of an experimental protocol”
  • May: I gave a talk in the lab of Prof. Joao M. Correia, University of Algarve, PT
  • April 29th: I co-organized the 2nd edition of the “Aphasia day” at KU Leuven, a community event for our study participants, consisting of an art exhibition by a person with aphasia, workshops about mental health and communication training with partners, a reception and sing-along live music.
